How do I pre-fund my DCA plan?

Instructions for pre-funding a DCA plan and refunding reserved funds

Pre-funding is designed for users who want to reserve funds specifically for investing in virtual assets. It helps reduce the chance of funds being used for other purposes and lowers the risk of a scheduled deduction failing due to insufficient balance. Once set up, your main wallet will reserve funds based on the amount you specify.


Pre-fund a plan

There are two ways to set up pre-funding:

Pre-fund immediately after completing a DCA plan setup

  1. Create and complete a DCA plan setup

  2. On the plan setup completion page, tap Pre-fund plan

  3. Choose By amount or By period to set the pre-fund amount or number of periods.

    1. Your main account must have a balance greater than the amount you set, or

    2. Greater than the amount required for the period you set

  4. Tap Preview

  5. Tap Understood, continue

  6. Review the Pre-fund summary and tap Confirm

  7. You have completed pre-fund setup

Pre-fund after leaving the DCA plan setup completion page

  1. On the XREX App home page, tap Finance at the bottom

  2. Tap the DCA tab

  3. Tap My plans

  4. Find your plan under Active

  5. Tap Manage Plan

  6. Tap Pre-fund plan

  7. Choose By amount or By period to set the pre-fund amount or number of periods.

    1. Your main account must have a balance greater than the amount you set, or

    2. Greater than the amount required for the period you set.

  8. Tap Preview

  9. Tap Understood, continue

  10. Review the Pre-fund summary and tap Confirm.

  11. You have completed the setup


Return reserved funds

  1. On the XREX App home page, tap Finance at the bottom

  2. Tap the DCA tab

  3. Tap My plans

  4. Find the plan you want under Active or Paused

  5. Tap Manage Plan

  6. Tap Pre-funding settings

  7. Tap Return reserved TWD/USDT

  8. The reserved funds will be returned to your wallet

Edit pre-fund setting

Currently, you can’t directly edit the pre-fund amount. If you’d like to change it, please return the reserved funds first, then set up pre-funding again.


Pre-fund common questions

1. What’s the difference between “By amount” and “By period”?

  • By amount: Enter the amount you want to pre-fund. The system will calculate how many periods it can cover based on your per-period purchase amount and provide the closest available period option.

  • By period: Enter how many periods you want to cover. The system will calculate how much you need to pre-fund based on your per-period purchase amount.

2. Will I get a reminder when my pre-funded balance is running low?

Yes. When your pre-funded balance falls below one scheduled deduction amount, the system will automatically refill it from your main wallet based on your previously set pre-fund amount. You can view how many DCA executions your remaining balance can cover in your plan.

3. Will I be notified when the Auto-refill happens?

  • If auto-refill succeeds, no additional notification will be sent. The updated amount will be shown in the Funds section of your DCA plan details page.

  • If auto-refill fails, you will receive an email notification.
