To be able to get verified with an XREX account, there are certain requirements that you'll have to fulfill for identity verification, including a proof of address.

  1. Proof of identity

  2. Liveness check

  3. Proof of address

Knowing that many might have questions regarding this, let's quickly go over and clarify the requirement by showcasing the exact type of documentation that is considered sufficient and applicable as a submission for the proof of address.

Common proof of address examples

Note: it is important to make sure your name in this document is stated in the same format as your proof of identity document; differences in name will not be accepted and further security checks will transpire.

The following documents can be accepted as valid proof of address only if stated with a full name and complete address.

  • Passport (name and address pages)

  • Identity card (front and back)

  • Driving license (front and back)

The following documents can be accepted as valid proof of address only if stated with a full name, complete address and date of issue that is not older than 3 months.

  • Bank or credit card statement

  • Utility bill for gas, electricity, water, internet, etc. linked to the property

  • Letter from a recognized public authority or public servant (any government-issued correspondence)

Remember that you cannot use the same document to confirm both the proof of identity and the proof of address.

Examples of documents that DON'T count as proof of address

  • Screenshots.

  • Mobile phone bills.

  • Medical bills.

  • Purchase receipts or insurance statements.

  • Documents issued by a neobank

  • Old government-issued correspondence (older than 3 months);

  • Old bank statement (older than 3 months);

  • Old utility bill linked to the property (older than 3 months);

  • Pension statement.

  • Bank reference.

  • Insurance policy.

  • Transfer receipt.

  • Student ID
