XREX AML partner — CipherTrace

CipherTrace is a globally leading cryptocurrency intelligence service provider with over 300 clients in 37 countries, including Bank of America, Binance, HSBC, Signature Bank, US Military, Microsoft, and law enforcement agencies of the USA, India, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

CipherTrace bridges virtual currencies and financial services together with fraud protection, anti-money laundering, and financial investigation solutions. CipherTrace derives superior cryptocurrency intelligence from analyzing massive amounts of validated blockchain transaction attribution. CipherTrace was acquired by Mastercard in October 2021.

XREX has been CipherTrace’s technical partner and a reference site for CipherTrace’s AML tools, including ​​Sentry, Inspector, Armada, and Traveler. Based on CipherTrace’s technology, XREX also developed its unique product feature called Risk Level Detector to gauge the risk level of each wallet address. XREX FATF Travel Rule Solution — Travel Rule Information Sharing Alliance (TRISA)

TRISA is an open-source framework to support VASPs in sharing sender and receiver information to comply with Travel Rule requirements without compromising privacy. By applying a proven Certificate Authority (CA) model, TRISA reliably identifies and verifies VASPs to enable interoperability and ensure that Personally Identifiable Information (PII) stays private and is not sent to the wrong entity. The peer-to-peer design eliminates a single point of failure and provides resilience against attacks, and scales to accommodate extreme volumes.

VASPs and financial institutions can immediately begin using TRISA to comply with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements as well as Travel Rule guidelines.
